XXIO 14 & 14+ irons (two new 2026 models reviewed)

XXIO 14 series irons have launched with the latest generation 2026, with the 14 and 14+ models for the first time.

Launched as part of a complete family, including the XXIO 14 driversfairway woods and hybrids, XXIO breaks new ground by offering two designs in the series.

While the XXIO 13 irons only had one version, the new 2026 successor features the standard 14 for golfers with average swing speeds and the additional 14+ for golfers with slightly faster swings.

XXIO has made improvements to the 14 Series with a new ULTiFLEX face and cavity structure, redistributed weight to lower the center of gravity and updated the design to a more rounded face.

Advantages and disadvantages

Specifications and design of XXIO 14 irons

The XXIO 14 irons replace the XXIO 13 with some design tweaks and new technologies that improve performance and forgiveness in the latest update.

As with previous generations, they are still designed for high launch, maximum distance, stability, consistency, forgiveness and easy-hitting feel for intermediate swing speed golfers who want high ball distance shots.

The 14 has a more rounded head and topline shape than previous versions, as well as a slight gooseneck husk that inspires confidence at address.

The irons feature a new ULTiFLEX face, which combines a high-strength, lightweight VR-Titanium face with the company’s rebound frame and L-shaped groove pattern to maximize energy transfer and ball speed.

There’s also a new cavity structure that redistributes weight by expanding the heel cavity and slimming down the gooseneck structure to shift mass placement in the sole.

Additionally, a high-density tungsten-nickel weight is placed very low and centered to achieve a lower center of gravity and promote higher launch and better stability.

The XXIO 14 irons are available from 5 iron (22 degrees) to sand wedge (56 degrees).

Specifications and design of XXIO 14+ irons

The XXIO 14+ irons are a new addition to the series and are designed for players who like to swing powerfully for maximum distance, but want a more penetrating ball flight and exceptional feel.

They are rated for a slightly higher swing speed than the 14 model and still provide an excellent balance of stability, control and power delivery, along with signature XXIO forgiveness.

Visually, the irons are less offset than the 14 and look sleeker – a more player profile to appeal to better players who still benefit from lightweight, game-improving iron technology.

They feature the same MainFrame technology, a new cavity structure with a larger heel cavity and a slimmer neck structure. This allowed more mass to be placed in the sole.

A soft body design with high-density tungsten weighting also helps save weight and optimize the launch, distance control and stability provided by the XXIO irons.

The irons also feature a new ULTiFLEX lightweight titanium face with an L-shaped groove pattern to maximize energy transfer and ball speed.

The XXIO 14+ irons are available from 5 iron (23 degrees) to sand wedge (56 degrees).

XXIO 14 & 14+ Irons Review: Are They Any Good?

The XXIO 14 irons remain an ideal choice for intermediate swing speed golfers, but have been notably improved in ease of launch, maximum distance and forgiveness.

New 14+ irons, meanwhile, add an extra dimension as XXIO’s first model designed for golfers who swing more aggressively or want a sharper, sleeker look with minimal offset for workability.

The main feature of both is the new titanium ULTiFLEX face for remarkable ball speeds and the revised center of gravity thanks to weight changes.

Both irons excel in forgiveness and launch angles for reliable distance every time, whether used from the fairway, rough or bunkers.
