Details of Xpeng’s upcoming X9 Reev (Range-Extended Electric Vehicle) have been unveiled by the Chinese Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (Miit) prior to the Lancing of the MPV in the fourth quarter of this year.
The Chinese car manufacturer had previously plagued the arrival of X9 Reev on Weibo and claimed that more than 1,000 test vehicles had traveled to 20 countries for more than 800 days and 330 cities around the world, which accumulated more than 20 million km of test kilometer position. Those test vehicles contain ‘450’ on their doors, which suggests that this is the pure electric cruise oak from X9 Reev.
Referring to the Miit application, measures the X9 Reev 5.316 mm long, 1,988 mm wide, 1,785 mm long and has a wheelbase of 3,160 mm. That makes it slightly longer than the regular X9 EV that is 5,293 mm long, where all other dimensions are the same.
As far as the powertrain is concerned, the 2,750 kg X9 Reev would have the top speed of 180 km/h and have a 1.5-liter engine that develops 150 PS (148 hp or 110 kW) as its reach extieger. It will be equipped with lithium iron phosphate (LFP) batteries supplied by CALB (China Aviation Lithium Battery).
Locked up to become Xpeng’s first hybrid model, whereby the powertrain is probably the Kunpeng Super Electric system that was unveiled on last year’s AI day. It is claimed that this delivers a fully electric range of 430 km and a combined 1,400 km with the Range Extender in the game. Support for 5C chargers enables the battery to get a 10-80% charge in just 12 minutes.
