Microsoft’s partnership with Amazon continues to expand as it has been announced that Xbox Cloud Gaming will be coming to the latter’s smart TVs.
Specifically, the latest models of the Fire TV 4 series and the Fire TV Omni QLED series now come with the built-in Xbox app, and more models will get the app in the future. This now gives FireTV users greater access to Microsoft’s extensive video game catalog, while also preventing other power outlets or HDMI ports from becoming clogged with Game Pass.
If you have a compatible Fire TV smart TV, you can download the Xbox app from Amazon’s dedicated app store. After installation, you will be asked to sign in with your Microsoft account.
Compared to when it was first announced for Fire TV Sticks in June, Game Pass Premium and Game Pass Essential subscribers can now access the service through their Amazon devices. Subscriptions start at $13.99/month.
Just a note: you’ll also need a compatible Bluetooth controller. The Xbox Wireless Controller, Xbox Adaptive Controller, DualSense or DualShock 4 all work fine according to Amazon.
With this service you now have access to and stream different games to your Fire TV smart TV, such as The Outer Worlds 2, Call of Duty Black Ops 7, FC 25, Gears of War Reloaded, And Well-founded 2.
