If you felt a bit of a silence after the last major championship of the season, I hope you get over it because the excitement here is just starting for the coming months in the world of Golf.
The Wyndham championship, held in Sedgefield Country Club in Greensboro, NC, marks the last tournament of the regular season of PGA Tour. During the conclusion of the tournament, the Top-70 players in the FedEx Cup classification will continue to the FedExCup play-offs, starting next week at TPC Southwind in Memphis, Tenn. Those players who are in the top 100 in the rankings in the rankings in the rankings in the rankings. Players who are in the top 50 at the end of the Tour Championship qualify for the signature events of 2026.
Oh, and there is those friendly little golf that come together at the end of September, they call the Ryder Cup that still has many open places left on the line.
Yes, a lot happens on the links and it starts this week at Sedgefield Country Club, a relatively short PAR-70 Donald Ross design, which extends to simply better than 7,100 meters. Smalle, fairways surrounded with trees, approach smaller than average, heavily wavy vegetables with the traditional ross outlet areas, making an important element clambering this week. The drive complacency is more important than length of the tee and the short-iron game of 100-175 Yards is a large part of the winning formula. Balekekers and putters bloom here to bloom here and players who play well on par-4s of 400-450 meters, of which eight out of 12 fall on the course.

Michael Bamberger
Course history and crossover success with other golf courses comparable to Sedgefield is a very strong part of the disability this week. Take Webb Simpson, which has won here, on TPC Sawgrass and in Harbor Town, the home of the RBC heritage heritage. Matt Kuchar, Kevin Kisner, Si Woo Kim, Billy Horschel – It is a long list of players who did well this week on all comp courses. I also looked at TPC River Highlands (Travelers Championship), TPC Deere Run (John Deere Classic), Sea Island (RSM Classic) and another Donald Ross design, East Lake Golf Club, where we will be for the tour championship in a few weeks.
Robert Macintyre (35-1)
It feels like Bobby Mac is a bit under the radar this week. Matt Fitzpatrick is the favorite of the tournament and plays very well, but we can get the shot for almost twice the prize. Both players are well in the top 70 in the rankings, but Fitzpatrick has some work to do if he is planning to play on the European side for the upcoming Ryder Cup. Macintyre has not missed a cut since the masters. He finished sixth on the Charles Schwab, second at the US Open and seventh in his last start on the Open Championship. He also finished earlier this season at the players’ championship and became 17th with the travelers last month. He has everything I want here: accuracy of the tee, short game, approach game and he makes a lot of birdies.
Lucas Glover (39-1)
Very a horse for this course, winning here two years ago and end the top 10 or better in all our correlated courses, including a victory at the John Deere Classic in 2021. Glover played great golf this season, ending on the players and most recently ninth with travelers, fifth at the John Deere and 23rd in the open championship. In the last 24 rounds he is the top 16 in this field for the vicinity of holes between 100-175 Yards and is number 1 of 125-150. Let that putter heat up, Lucas.
Harry Hall (40-1)
It is not necessary to beg a hot putter with Harry Hall, which is the fourth in this area for SG: Putting (Bermudagrass) in the last 24 rounds and is number 1 in Birdies or better. Just like Glover, Hall is also one of the very best in the field for the vicinity of holes of 100-175 meters. He did not miss a reduction in almost five months and recently finished ninth with the travelers.
Akshay Bhatia (40-1)
Here is another player who is excellent in the approach, is a great putter and is accurate of the tee. He was bound for the 54-hole lead last week in Minnesota before he was unraveled with a round of 75 on Sunday. I expect a bouncy for a man here, such as Glover, who finished third earlier this season at TPC Sawgrass.
Christiaan Bezuidenhout (55-1)
As South African, he is not part of the Ryder Cup conversation, but he tries to make the late season, currently 74th in the FedEx Cup, and he plays very well. Bezuidenhout finished the top 16 three times in his last eight starts and was open 20th in the 3M last week. It is accurate from the tee, 12th in this field on the 400-450 Yard Par-4s during the last 24 rounds and is in second place for SG: Putting (Bermudagrass). He has never missed a cut in four attempts here in the Wyndham and was made five-for-five in cuts on the RBC heritage. He is twice in 13th place in the Players Championship and has become second with the John Deere Classic.
Andrew Novak (66-1)
We called a mix of ball captors and putters and although Novak is now a few seasons of the Bal-Triker type, the putter also started shooting. He went on tour in 2024 to 36th this season for SG: Putting. Novak grew up in Raleigh, NC – about 90 minutes from Greensboro – and went to Wofford College, about three hours from Sedgefield Country Club, so he is a lot familiar with the golf course and the surrounding area. Earlier this season, Novak lost in a play -off at the RBC heritage.
Chris Kirk (95-1)
This week we will immediately jump back on the Chris Kirk train after he missed it in the Rocket Classic last month when he lost in a play -off. Kirk has won at Sea Island, fourth in East Lake and has several top 10 Finishes in Harbor Town and three Top-15 Finishes at TPC Sawgrass. He is accurate from the tee, great in the approach and one of the best of the 100-150 meter game. Kirk is currently 73rd in the FedEx Cup classification. He has finished the top 15 twice and once second in his last five starts.
