The draw has been released for the Dongfeng Voyah Wuhan Open 2025, the last WTA 1000 event of the season in Wuhan, which sees the world no. 1, Aryna Sabalenka, back in action to defend her title and struggle to stay at the top of the ranking at the end of the year.
Founded in 2014, this WTA 1000 event returned to the schedule in 2024 after a 4-year break, with 56 singles players and 28 Double teams compete on 7 out-of-hard courts, including the Central Court Stadium that can organize up to 15,000 fans in the Optics Valley, CHBE.
All top seeds in the draw will receive a BYE in the opening round and will only play on Tuesday in what an event of a week is, instead of the extensive WTA 1000 events that now sow the tennis season.

The British No. 1 Emma Raducanu pushes to finish the year in the top 32 of the rankings, while haunting a placed position in the 2026 opening -Grand on the Australian Open.
Raducanu was not sown in Wuhan and could have been pulled against one of the big names in her first game, but she has had a profitable draw against the world no. 47, Ann Li, from America.
