The first players have been signed for the inaugural WTGL, with Jeeno Thitikul, Charley Hull, Lydia Ko, Brooke Henderson and Lexi Thompson committing to the competition.
After the success of the TGL, co-founded by Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy, the The very first WTGL will be launched at the end of 2026.
TMRW Sports, the company behind the TGL and WTGL, have moved quickly to secure their first names for the women’s competition.
The first five players have been signed on the dotted line, with world number one Thitikul, Hull, Ko, Henderson and Thompson all committing to play in WTGL’s debut season.
“WTGL will be a global stage to showcase LPGA Tour stars, and this first wave of dedicated players represents that opportunity with some of the best in the world,” said Mike McCarley, founder and CEO of TMRW Sports.
“These players will thrive in WTGL’s competitive environment as fans will witness their skills and connect more deeply with their personalities through the unprecedented access the league provides with every player mic’d up in the modern match play team format.”

Seven-time LPGA Tour winner Thitikul closed out 2025 with back-to-back appearances in the season-ending CME Group Tour Championship, and her first act of 2026 is signing with WTGL.
Hull is one of the most popular players in the world and the three-time LPGA and seven-time Solheim Cup star will bring her personality to the screens.
Another to sign up is Ko, an LPGA Hall of Famer and former world No. 1 who has 23 LPGA Tour victories, three major championships and three Olympic medals to her name.
Canada’s Henderson is no stranger to success with fourteen LPGA Tour victories and two major championships to her name.
Thompson may have already partially retired from professional golf, but she will be part of the WTGL as she begins a new chapter in her career – one that has included 11 LPGA Tour victories and one major championship.
