After Bencic gave her side an early lead, Swiatek also came into action early in her match against Rybakina, breaking the 2022 Wimbledon champion twice to take the opener.

Trailing by a set, Rybakina came back to claim a break in the fifth game and open a 3-2 lead in the second set. But just when it looked like the world number 5 had momentum on her side, the Polish tennis star impressively took the next four matches and sealed the deal in straight sets.

Who is Swiatek’s next rival at the World Tennis Continental Cup?
On Saturday, Swiatek returns to the court to face Wang. So far, the two have met just once, with the Polish six-time Grand Slam champion beating the 57th seed Chinese 6-0 6-0 in the third round of the 2023 French Open.
Meanwhile, Rybakina will play her next singles match against Bencic on Saturday.
