Wrexham go into this weekend’s match against Ipswich Town on the back of FA Cup success, having secured victory last Friday. Josh Windass’ A goal in the first half was enough to advance them to the fifth round.
The Red Dragons were also in action in the middle of the competition, drawing 2-2 against Bristol City. Joe Williams’ own goal appeared to have secured victory for Wrexham, but a late goal from Max Bird saw the points shared.
Phil Parkinson’s team is in seventh place after the draw and remains just outside the play-off places on goal difference. Promotion is on the agenda for Wrexham, and they are planning for that possibility.
TEAMtalk report that the Red Dragons are looking for a shock move Harry Wilson of Fulham. The Welshman has been a Wrexham fan since childhood and is said to welcome the move to the club.

Aston Villa, Everton, Leeds United and Sunderland are also keen to sign Wilson. His contract with Fulham expires at the end of the season.
Brilliant career from Harry Wilson
Wilson made history in October 2013 by making his debut for Wales against Belgium at 16 years and 207 days, becoming the country’s youngest ever player, surpassing Gareth Bale. He also became Liverpool’s youngest international, but made only two senior appearances for the club.
He spent most of his early career on loan gaining experience, including stints at Crewe Alexandra, Hull City and Derby County. At Derby he scored 15 goals in 40 games and reached the championship play-off final.
He also spent time on loan at Bournemouth in the Premier League and Cardiff City, where he continued to develop his reputation as a versatile striker. His performances steadily attracted attention, culminating in a move to Fulham.
In 2021, Wilson was loaned out to Fulham and scored 10 goals to help the club win the EFL Championship and secure promotion. He earned places in both the PFA and EFL Championship Teams of the Season.
He signed permanently for Fulham for £12 million, with a contract running until 2026, and has since become a key contributor to the Premier League. Internationally, Wilson has more than 67 caps and 17 goals for Wales and remains a central figure in the post-Bale era.

What next for Wrexham and Wilson?
As a boyhood Wrexham fan, Wilson will no doubt be keeping an eye on their results. The Red Dragons have a busy few weeks ahead as they look to secure their place in the play-offs.
This weekend they face fourth-placed Ipswich Town at the Racecourse Ground before Portsmouth come to town in midweek. Charlton Athletic away fixtures round off a busy week for Wrexham.
The Red Dragons will undoubtedly also have that big FA Cup match against Chelsea in mind.
Wilson, on the other hand, will be hoping to continue his excellent season in the Premier League. Fulham plays against Sunderland on Sunday afternoon.
