Royal Challengers Bengaluru Women defeated Delhi Capitals Women by six wickets on 5 February 2026 to win their second Women’s Premier League title. The final in Vadodara turned into a runfest with RCB putting on a record chase to seal the trophy.
Delhi Capitals scored 203 for 4, the highest ever total in a WPL final. Captain Jemimah Rodrigues led the scoring with a flowing 57, anchoring the innings from the middle order. Chinelle Henry added late fireworks, hitting an unbeaten 35 off just 15 balls.
RCB’s chase started with early pressure but skipper Smriti Mandhana quickly took control. She attacked from the start and kept the asking price in check, playing one of the best shots in WPL history.
Mandhana and Georgia Voll put together a stunning partnership of 165 runs for the second wicket. It was the highest stand for any wicket in the competition and shifted the game completely in RCB’s favour.
Mandhana’s 87 came from just 41 balls and was packed with clean strokes and clever placement. Voll played the perfect supporting role, scoring 79 off 54 deliveries and exchanging strikes under pressure.
RCB wobbled late as quick wickets fell in the final overs. The chase went down to the wire but Radha Yadav kept her cool and hit two fours in the last over to end the match with two balls to spare.
In a match where over 400 runs were scored, RCB pacer Lauren Bell stood out with the ball. She conceded just 19 runs in her four overs and applied control when most bowlers were struggling.
Mandhana’s season ended on a high as she finished with 377 runs to earn the Orange Cap. Her consistency at the top played a big role in RCB topping the league with six wins from eight matches.
For Delhi Capitals, the heartbreak continued. This was their fourth consecutive runner-up finish, having reached every WPL final since the competition began but falling short each time.
With this win, Royal Challengers Bengaluru now have two WPL titles, from 2024 and 2026. They move level with Mumbai Indians as the most successful teams in the history of the Women’s Premier League.
