World Cup Ladies 2025: India Claim Statement Win on New Zealand in Bengaluru Warming; Bangladesh beats Sri Lanka

India and Bangladesh completed their ICC-Cricket World Cup 2025 preparations by claiming the victory in their second and final warm-up competitions.

Bangladesh showed steel nerves to beat Sri Lanka by a single run in an exciting meeting in Colombo, while India enjoyed a new Zeeland in Bengaluru explanation of the BCCI Center of Excellence Ground.

India bounces back with a statement victory

After the defeat of England the previous time-out, India returned to winning ways with a four-wicket win (DLS) on New Zealand.

In a competition delayed by the rain, India de Witte ferns up to 38 for two by two before Sophie Devine (54), Maddy Green (49 not off) and Amelia Kerr (40) helped them to 232 for eight of 42 overs.

In reply, Harleen Deol and Harmanpreet Kaur wore India on the edge of the victory with an excellent position of 132 run for the third Wicket.

Deol withdrew to 74 and followed a flurry of Wickets, including Kaur for 69, but India clambed over the line with 10 balls.

Marufa Akter has determined to refuse hosts

Marufa Akter successfully defended nine points in the final to claim the victory for Bangladesh in their warm -up match against Sri Lanka.

After the hosts fell from 56 to four to four to four, Kaveesha Dilhari and Nilakshika Silva scored half centures to stabilize the ship in their pursuit of 243, Sharmin Akhter top score with 71 for Bangladesh.

Sri Lanka was then well set to 218 for five, but Nahida Akter dismissed Piumi Wathsala and Anushka Sanjeewani in the 47th before he removed Nilakshika in the 49th in the 49th to end up with three to 28.

It fell on Marufa to seal the victory in front of her side, the last about bringing three wickets when Sri Lanka just fell short.
