The buyer of a Woodville Gardens home has not only secured a home at auction but also made two major donations to charity.
Most of the $820,000 sale price for a three-bedroom house at 109 Humphries Tce that went under the hammer this weekend will be split and donated to the Animal Welfare League and the Hospital Research Foundation.
Troy Tyndall from LJ Hooker Adelaide Metro said they expected it to fetch as much as $750,000, so the sale price was a pleasant surprise.

The Woodville Gardens estate at 109 Humphries Tce was sold at auction this weekend.
The sales price will be divided and donated to two charities.
“There was a small mortgage on the property, but after that all the money goes to charity,” he said.
“I would have had twelve registered bidders at the auction.”
Mr Tyndall said the buyer planned to use it as an investment property for a while before using it himself.
“He’s going to renovate it and rent it out for a while,” he said.
The dated house is located on a corner block of 468m² and has three bedrooms and one bathroom.
Mr Tyndall said ahead of the auction that the late owner had identified the two charities in his will as the beneficiaries of the sale.
“One hundred percent of the proceeds will go to charity,” said Tyndall, who sold the property with Luke Mitchell.
‘He had a soft spot for animals and in later years he developed a number of illnesses. He thought the hospital system was helping him so he could help too.”
It was listed with an auction price of $690,000, but was expected to fetch as much as $750,000.

The dated house has three bedrooms and one bathroom.
It is located on a corner block and is a desirable neighborhood.
Properties, especially deceased estates, are occasionally sold for the benefit of a charity, business or educational institution.
Mr Tyndall said he had sold another property where the sale price had been donated – on that occasion it was to the Elder Conservatorium of Music.
The $1.82 million sale price of a 1920 Malvern bungalow in 2024 was donated to the SA branch of the Salvation Army, while the seller of a Semaphore home pledged to donate a portion of the 2020 sale price to The 2H Project, a charity that supports pregnant women in developing countries.
More recently, the $973,000 sale price of The Advertiser Foundation’s Good Home in Oakden will be donated to six children’s charities in South Africa.
