Women have claimed that the contraception prick, which is linked to brain tumors, let them suffer from debilitating side effects that in some cases ‘destroy’ their lives.
On social media, a number of patients said that the injection has caused heart palpitations, anxiety, weight gain and extreme mood swings, with many who wish they never took it.
The JAB, administered to around 5 million women in the UK, is given every three months and stops the reproduction by preventing eggs from being released by a woman’s ovaries.
But its safety was recently questioned after studies have established the injection, known for the Dep-Provera brand name, increased the risk of five-time brain tumors.
Researchers discovered that those who had the injection were much more likely to develop an meningioma, a kind of brain tumor that is not cancer -like but can kill by compressing the brain and nerves if it gets too great.
Last October, the United Kingdom called on the regulatory authority of the drugs and health care products to the manufacturer of the Pfizer injection to include a warning about the risk with the leaflets of the patient information.
Pfizer, the drug agency behind the JAB, also wrote to NHS doctors who encouraged them to prevent them from using Depo-Provera immediately if they were established an meningioma.
On Wednesday it came to light that around 200 British women who feared that the Jab was the fault of their meningioma are now considering legal action.
About 400 American women have launched a Class Action against Pfizer and other generic makers of Depo-Provera.
Now women have gone to social media to complain about a series of health problems they think they were caused by the JAB.
In one tap video, a women named Emily Rose said that the shot ‘completely destroyed’ her life.
In the caption of the video she wrote that she would not recommend it unless you are ‘willing to do your research’.
She claimed to have suffered heart palpitations, fear, loss of appetite and described herself as ‘a complete stranger’ for herself.
OThers repeated her experiences in the commentary section.
One mother said that getting the contraception prick was ‘literally the worst mistake’ she has ever made, while another told about ‘raising fear’, ‘headache of hell’ and visual disruptions.
“I regret it so much,” she added.

In another Tiktok video, a woman named Calyssa described ‘life-destructive’ withdrawal symptoms when she stopped the injection.
In particular, she claimed that it was responsible for extreme weight gain – with which she was to get more fat than during pregnancy.
In the caption of the video, she said: ‘The contraception of Depo-Provera can say that I have ruined my life and body.
‘The stepping off made it pregnant longer and my body had withdrawal effects where the weight gain went up before it went down.
‘Plus, I was always moody and furious with it. It gave me anger. ‘
Elsewhere, in one Reddit Post Shared at the end of last year, a 24-year-old woman without earlier health problems shared her suspicions that two attacks they suffered may have been linked to the JAB.
The woman claimed that in June 2024 she had a first attack while driving ‘Out of nothing’, who ended up in an ambulance in an ambulance.

Depo-Provera is injected into the arm or buttocks every three months. An estimated 2 to 3 million regulations for the birth control drug are filled every year in the US
Although she was remarkably not injured, her car was ‘in total’.
The hospital carried out tests that were all clearly returned, but a week later she claimed that they were still suffering an attack.
“My body was hot, heavy and tingling, and then my boyfriend said that I was going to be ‘lifeless’ in my eyes and started to grab,” she wrote.
The only common theme she claimed that she noticed was that she had received her Depo Jab a week before every attack.
Sherry Brown, from Louisiana in the US, is one of the women who believe that the contraception prick has left them with a life -changing brain tumor.
She told MailOnline that she was starting to take DEPO-PROVERA in 2001, when they was attracted to the puncture for convenience compared to the pills she took earlier.

Sherry Brown, from Louisiana, was diagnosed with two meningiomas almost two decades after taking Depo-Provera. If her treatments are not successful, she needs brain surgery
However, she stopped taking the injection in 2003 due to weight gain, in which she undergoes a hysterectomy in 2004 into a hysterectomy into a hysterectomy when she was 27.
Brown didn’t think about her time on Depo-Provera until she randomly fainted in 2019 and hit her head.
Doctors discovered an meningioma in her brain, although they decided not to start treatments because of the small size.
Two years later, in 2021, Brown lost her smell. She also regularly suffered memory reductions and took a few minutes to remember the routines she had spent for years with perfecting. Scans revealed a second meningiom.
Although the newer tumor was too small for doctors to take the risk of running, its primary growth had grown to around 1.5 inches, about the size of a silver dollar point.
Earlier this year, at the age of 47, Brown underwent a gamma -mesh procedure that uses radiation to stop tumor growth without making incisions.
She will have scans later this year to see if the procedure did not prevent primary meningioma from growing. If it is not successful, she will probably have to undergo brain surgery to remove one or both tumors.
‘It is a constant fear and thought in the back of my mind: will the tumors grow? Will one of them grow? “Said Brown.
Pfizer was approached for comment.
