A 22-year-old lost an impressive six stone in just one matter of months by removing bread from her diet.
Ellie Crabtree, from Cumbria, fell in a fall of emotional food after her father, Geoff, 59, was diagnosed with terminal bone cancer in July 2022.
She noticed that she often skipped breakfast and hit bread from bread and she got five stones in just a year while she cared for her father.
“I saw eating like a comfort and felt so embarrassed and didn’t talk about it with anyone. We had bad news and I would just eat more food, “she said.
‘My greatest comfort food was bread. I could easily have eated half a bread, because that is what gave me comfort.
Mrs. Crabtree realized that she had to revise her diet after she had found herself deeply unhappy with her appearance in one of the last photos taken with her father.
“I thought if this is the last photo I have with him and I don’t even want to look at it, I have to make a change,” she said.
After scattering the ashes of her father in September 2023, she started a calorie shortage to try to shift the weight.
For Ellie Crabtree, Brood was her greatest comfort food, on which she would binge besides chocolate and Chinese take -away restaurants

Ellie then won second place in the Nabba North West Bodybuilding competition 2024 and placed the following week in front of the British final, where she ran away with second place

A calorie deficiency includes consuming fewer calories than you burn daily activities and physical functions that the body is fatty instead.
In addition to her new protein -rich diet – which consisted of oats, yogurt, eggs, chicken, cottage cheese, salads, nut butters and fruit – Crabtree also started exercising, determined to turn her father’s death into ‘something beautiful’.
“I lost four stones and went to a gym for me,” she said.
“It was just by eating in a calorie deficiency, but I tried to teach myself about the scientific way to lose weight healthily.”
Subsequently, in January 2024, Mrs. Crabtree claimed to prepare for a bodybuilding competition that was held in May that year, dropping two more stones in the run -up to the event, lost for a total of six stones.
But the strict training regime and the meal plan quickly took a toll from her mental health.
“My whole life turned around it at the time,” she said.
‘I would get up and do my fast cardio seven days a week. There were no off-plan days, it is just the dedication to your goal and the preparation is what gives you priority, “she explained.

Mrs. Crabtree’s father was diagnosed with terminal bone cancer at just 59 years old
“I didn’t go on vacation. I have put my life on hold. ‘
While she became second in the Bodybuilding competition and qualified for the British final, the young athlete began to struggle with her body image and the pressure to maintain her ‘goal’ weight.
After she became second in this competition, Mrs. Crabtree realized that she had not really treated the grief and the trauma that came with her father losing.
I thought afterwards [the competition] It would all be rainbows and happiness because I had worked for this goal, but I had a lot of healing to do, “she explained.
“I had been on such a trip and there was so much unsolved trauma to lose my father. A few eating habits crawled up again and I struggled with Body Diesmorphia. ‘
Mrs. Crabtree now works as a coach for weight loss for women and is also open about the dangers to become too thin.
“You have to arrive and learn how to be healthy,” she said.
‘You cannot be a competitive weight forever. I am now the 10th 5 pounds and keep it in a healthy way. ‘

She now wants to increase consciousness about the toll that such extreme diets and practice plans can be on the mental and physical health of women.
‘There should be more awareness for women not to just see [bodybuilding] Like a glittery bikini, “she said.
‘I think people should have healthy relationships with food before they do something like that.
‘It has long -term effects on your mental health, and I struggled with that.
‘In my work as a fat loss coach I work with women to improve their mentality and habits for weight loss. I try to make their fitness trip fun instead of feeling like a punishment. ‘
In the meantime, thousands have used to so -called ‘Skinny Jabs’ such as Ozempic, Mounjaro and Wegovy as fast solutions for weight loss.
A parade of closed celebrities has been concerned about the concern that the Jabs behind the return to the fat-phobic zero-trend are with A-Listers, including Sharon Osbourne and Oprah who are admitted that they use the medicine.
Ozempic and Wegovy contain the active ingredient semaglutide, that glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1) imitating a naturally occurring hormone that is released in the small intestine during eating.

The chemical signals to the brain when you are full and digests the digestion. This ensures that people feel fuller for longer and dramatically reduces appetite.
It also slows down the sugar production of the liver, forcing the body to burn stored fat for energy.
About half a million people in the UK are now taking GLP-1 drugs, with clinical studies that show that they can help patients lose up to 20 percent of their body weight. However, experts said that users had to be informed of possible negative effects.
Doctors have warned that these weight loss medicines can harm your bones, increasing the risk of fractures.
The Royal Osteoporosis Society has recently expressed concern about research showing that up to 40 percent of weight people lose by using this JABS meeting of their vital muscle and bone mass.
This can have a significant impact of joint stability, which increases the risk of osteoporosis – a condition that causes brittle bones.
