The old Malibu -Herenhuis of Shannen Doherty has come on the market for $ US9.5 million ($ A14.6 million) – just over a year after her death.

The star “Beverly Hills 90210” died at the age of 53 after a year of battle with cancer.

Described as her personal “sanctuary”, the actress broke the estate in 2004 for $ 2.56 million ($ A3.93 million), Royal Reports.

It was the house where she was able to escape from the hustle and bustle of Hollywood during her long cancer fight.

According to the Wall Street JournalThe real estate has been marketed by the old friend of the “charmed” star, broker Chris Cortazzo, who also acts as a performer of the Doherty estate.

Speaking at the outlet, Mr Cortazzo revealed – who met Doherty in the nineties after she went to see one of his offers – revealed how the actress fell in love with the building for the first time and noted that she was most attracted to the privacy offered on the elegant estate.

“If you are a remarkable figure, your house will be your sanctuary,” he explained – adding that Doherty would regularly organize her “very close, intimate circle of friends” in the house, where she threw every week, as well as a dance evening.

Mr. Cortazzo revealed that, because the actress had no children, the profit from the sale of her house goes to her mother, Rosa.

Doherty was still legally married to her third husband, photographer Kurt Iswarienko, at the time of her death.

However, she had separated from him in 2023 and their divorce was completed only two days after she was over.

Although Doherty bought the building with five bedrooms in 2004, she carried out an extensive renovation in 2018 after the building was damaged in the Woolsey fire that same year.

Mr Cortazzo revealed that the house was filled with different treasures that the actress collected while traveling around the world.

Doherty ownership has a beautiful view of the surroundings, especially from the primary suite, which has a retractable glass wall.

In the house has the most important living space, beamed ceilings, a vast kitchen with adapted cupboards and a largely neutral aesthetics that are peppered with more unique decor items, such as shed doors from shed that separate the dining room from the cave.

Outside the house has a shimmering round swimming pool that overlooks the ocean, while hedges that help the real estate of one hectare to guarantee complete privacy of curious eyes, something that Doherty is said to have appreciated.

The garden also has an edible garden, as well as a canopy trees to offer natural shade on hot days.

Doherty bought the house three years after she ended her three -year -old run as a prue halliwell on “charmed” and 10 years after she left her hitrol in “Beverly Hills, 90210”.

However, the career on the actress screen had started long before she landed the part of Brenda Walsh when she was just a child and appeared on various TV spots, before she safely made Jenny Wilder on “Little House on the prairie”.

After Doherty was diagnosed in 2015, Stadium 3 was diagnosed, she openly began to document her health journey and revealed the many different treatments she underwent, while she kept sharing her positive view of life, even while she fought against the debilitating disease.

In 2017, the actress revealed that her cancer was in remission – but two years later it returned, with Doherty announced that the disease had been implemented to stage 4.

“I don’t think I processed it. It is a bitter pill to swallow in many ways,” she admitted during an interview in February 2020 with Good Morning America.

‘My first reaction is always worried about:’ How am I going to tell my mother? My husband? “My mother is a ridiculously strong, courageous person. That also applies to my husband, but I’m worried about him.”

She added: “I am petrified. I am pretty scared. There are absolutely days when I say:” Why I? ” And then I go: “Not me?

Less than a year before her death, Doherty spoke with people about her determination to continue to fight her cancer.

She told the outlet in November 2023: ‘I am not done with life. I’m not finished loving. I’m not done making it. I am not done with hopefully changing things for the better.

“I’m just not ready.”

The actress regularly spoke about her cancer fight on her hit podcast, “Let’s Be Clear”, on which Cortazzo appeared several times.

During one of those occasions, Mr Cortazzo and Doherty discussed how their “casual real estate relationship” flourished in a close band “full of love, laughter and even a few screaming matches en route,” the description revealed.

The duo also opened how they worked together to plan the future of Doherty estate, as well as its ideal funeral plans.

“In this episode, the BFFs find a way to chuckle through the most difficult conversations … From funeral lists to estate planning to the unknown road that lies for us. Everyone needs a Chris on their side,” the description continued.

Doherty’s death was confirmed by her old publicist, Leslie Sloane, in a statement to the outlet on July 14.

It said: “It is with a tough heart that I confirm the death of actress Shannen Doherty. On Saturday, July 13, she lost her fight with cancer after many years of fighting the disease.”
