Hyderabad, December 12, 2025: The Fire & Security Association of India (FSAI)Hyderabad Chapter, Hosting the National Seminar – FESA 2025 (Fire, Electrical, Security & Automation for Tall Buildings), bringing together senior government officials, developers, MEP consultants, fire experts, architects, OEMs and other key stakeholders to discuss building safety, best practices and emerging technologies for India’s rapidly growing high-rise ecosystem.
With Hyderabad witnessing rapid vertical growth and more than 872 major construction projects in the pipeline, the city has further strengthened its position as a major global high-rise destination through the deliberations at FESA 2025. The seminar underlined the critical importance of ensuring safety, resilience and future-proof infrastructure in high-rise development, with discussions on fire protection, electrical safety, security systems, automation and integrated building management. As part of this focus, the Suraksha Index certification was highlighted by FSAI as a crucial benchmark for improving the safety and performance of future tall buildings.
Speaking during the opening session, chief guest and keynote speaker Shri Vikram Singh Mann, IPS, Director General, Telangana Fire, Disaster Management, Relief and Civil Defensesaid, “Hyderabad’s rapidly changing skyline requires uncompromising adherence to fire and life safety standards at every stage, from design to operation. Platforms like FESA 2025 enable regulators, developers and experts to share experiences, strengthen preparedness and ensure that high-rise growth is accompanied by robust emergency response capabilities.”

V SrinivasNational Chairman of FSAI, highlighted the organization’s continued efforts to work with central and state authorities to strengthen life safety codes and drive effective implementation. He said FESA 2025 has further advanced this agenda by aligning industry stakeholders on standards, competency building and technology adoption for tall buildings across the country.
The first day of the seminar consisted of technical sessions and panel discussions on firefighting and life safety design, moderated by C. Lakshmi Prasadformer director of Telangana State Fire Service and Civil Defense Training Institute; Electrical safety and resilience in high-rise buildings, presented by N. V. Subba RaoSenior Advisor, Cholamandalam MS Risk Services; and safety in plumbing systems, provided by Deepen MehtaManaging Director, Acqua Utility Designs & Management. Additional discussions covered topics such as “Building tall – challenges in construction and maintenance” And “Life Safety and Fire Safety in Architectural and Structural Design.” Day 2 would focus on advanced fire protection strategies, security, building automation and emerging technologies for tall building safety.
The seminar was supported by leading industry associations including ISHRAE Deccan Chapter, Indian Plumbing Association Hyderabad Chapter, Institute of Indian Interior Designers – Hyderabad Regional Chapter, Indian Green Building Council, International Copper Association India, ASHRAE Deccan Chapter and CREDAI Hyderabad, underscoring the industry-wide commitment to safer, smarter high-rise buildings.
FESA 2025 was convened by Praveen Upadhyayled by the FSAI Hyderabad Chapter team led by the President Manoj place and secretary Huzefa Husseinwith support from CREDAI Hyderabad President and Guest of Honor Jaideep Reddy and other senior members. Office bearers and chapter leaders from across India participated and reaffirmed FSAI’s commitment to improving life safety and security in the country’s high-rise sector.
