Australian Valentino Guseli is through to the Snowboard Big Air finals on Sunday February 8 at 5.30am on 9Network, 9Now and Stan Sport.
Guseli’s journey to the final comes after a dramatic start to the Australian season. Guseli was initially an alternate and received a late call-up to join Big Air following the withdrawal of Canadian veteran Mark McMorris. Guseli seized the opportunity and put in a great performance to secure his spot in the medal round.
At just 20 years old, Guseli is known for his ability to dominate in all three park and pipe disciplines, Big Air, Slopestyle and Halfpipe, and was the first snowboarder to ever reach the podium in a single season. In addition, he holds the world record for the highest air from a halfpipe.
