Will Osula could be set for Shock Newcastle Exit – Report

At the time of writing there are currently only two senior strikers currently in Newcastle United: Alexander Isak and Will Osula.

Isak is at best unlikely until after the international break of September while he continues his strike against the club, and the 18-year-old Sean Neave cannot yet be considered a regular option as a U21 talent that still appears in the competition.

That leaves Osula as the only pointed option that Eddie Howe currently has at his disposal, and considering how raw he is still talent, it makes sense why the Gaffer now supports Anthony Gordon at no. 9.

Although every chance that Osula has an impact in our domestic campaign could evaporate, because an interesting report from Germany implies that the big DAN can be on the move this summer …

Sky Germany’s Florian Plettenberg Reports that Will Osula is one to look ‘before Deadline Day, because a potential move to Germany can be on the maps.

It would be quite a shock if he was sold and even more a surprise if he goes aside in question, where Plettenberg reports that Bayer Leverkusen is considering a movement, even if nothing is presented at this stage.

On X he wrote: “The 22 -year -old striker could still leave Newcastle in the coming days. There is also interest from the Bundesliga. Bayer 04 Leverkusen has him on their radar, but nothing has been claimed yet.”

There has been a mini output of players from Leverkusen since Erik ten Hag was appointed earlier this summer, with striker Victor Boniface leaves for AC Milan – a chance behind that Osula was able to fill.

This is not the first rumor that we have seen this year from one of our best young people who may leave for the Bundesliga: Lewis Miley was connected in April with a move in the midst of reports that he was frustrated about his lack of playing time.

Osula can be very good in a similar situation: with Isak is still expected to go back to the team and is being integrated again, Gordon is currently the first choice, and our hunt for new goal scores options is still, Osula’s place in the Spitshierarchy is certainly threatened.

Earlier this month, Howe made it clear that he loved good quantities of team, because he told us everything he wanted six midfield options to choose from.

So it would be a surprise if he wanted to reduce his options even further by having Osula leave.

However, we bought Osula for about £ 15 million last summer, and every chance of winning that we could now get for him can help us a long way to buy a more prime minister-agent striker such as Yoane Wissa or Jørgen Stranden, which would be an immediate upgrade for our attack if we wait exactly with Isak.
