Minnesota Wild Start Network Filip Gustavsson was one of the more intriguing names that are on their way to the unlimited free desk -class 2026, but he opted for the loyalty path. According to Insider Elliote Friedman, he earns $ 6.8 million against the CAP until 2030–31 and signs a five -year deal on October 4.
This is 5 x $ 6.8 million for Gustavsson https://t.co/rrz4kyrc3a

Gustavsson has spent three seasons with the wild, all with different success. In 2022–23 he recorded a .931 savings percentage, 2.10 goals against average and a record of 22–9–7 over 39 performances. Apparently ready to be the next big thing in Minnesota, he ran an extension of three years at the age of 25.

But then Gustavssson’s game fell off the map. As number 1 of an elite defense, he placed an underwhelming .899 save percentage, 3.06 goals against average and a record of 20-18–4 in the 2023–24 campaign. Fortunately, however, he set up the ship last season. He had a .914 savings percentage, 2.56 goals-to-average and a record of 31–19–6, and placed him under the upper echelon of goalkeepers of the competition.
De Wilde Betting on Gustavsson to support that level of Games, or at least get close in the next six seasons (the five -year -old deal only starts in 2026–27). If he can, an average annual value of just $ 6.8 million will be a bargain. But if inconsistency is in its future, the five-year period and semi-durable salary can become an albatros.
