We have seen a demise that we probably could not have imagined just a few years ago. Today is an all-time low for me as the club has seen its first points deduction as they are believed to have broken the laws of two different football leagues.

This is something that feels very unfair because it affects teams that have been unfairly relegated. You do get a parachute payment, but if you’re still getting points more or less deducted for being relegated, this is a completely strange and utterly disgusting system to live in.

How should you respond to this as a fan? Of course you have to defend the badge. It’s like going to war to protect your country. You will soon find out who the deserters and cowards are. Leicester have not received good treatment from EFL or PL in any way. Those who simply believe they took the deduction and walked away should just stop, think and think again, for God’s sake, never stop defending and fighting for the badge.

Leicester might have gone to extremes as a club, which few others would have done, but in the long run avoiding relegation was the main goal. The gap in money between EFL and PL is so big you can’t imagine. To then be hit with a problematic situation after leaving the party seems unfair and very strange.

To see that certain fans in this fan group care about the club being where they are and just throw everyone under the bus, be negative and try to find blame, they are pointing fingers instead of supporting.

It disgusts me to see fans tearing down everyone who runs the club right now. Think again, think about why you support Leicester and why you really feel at home when you wear clothes with the Leicester badge on them. When you start throwing words, cheese and whatever, think about why you support this football club and how it started, how you fell in love with this fantastic club.

A few weeks ago I was in Wales watching football. Chester and Wrexham were the destinations. Deva Stadium and Racecourse Ground got my visit. Lovely to be there, having a great time and at the same time understanding how their fans were coping with life in different leagues but still being proud of their club badge.

Owners in football will come and go, players will too. Why you support this football club goes so much deeper, but why is not easy to say, it is a bit of a mystery, why you can be so attached to a football team.

It’s on your mind every day, you think about it all the time. For me this has to do with much more than just football, it is identity, unity and friendship. Then you just become negative, don’t do it. You can speak up and be critical, but believe in the sign that it will change, and it will, one way or another.

Cologne is a club with a special fan base. They have been on the rise a bit over the years, like Leicester. Some fantastic players have played here. Wolfgang Overath, Pierre Littbarski and Lukas Podolski are three big players with a past here. This club has a special following and of course they can be angry and out of control, but their love for the badge is always strong.

As a football fan you are either in or out. And you have to look above who is the manager, who is the owner, who is the captain, who is playing, always believe in the badge.

If you’re a true Leicester fan, where the badge, the walk is, it goes beyond owners, fans, players, everything.
