Why does Amazon use a Lada to advertise in the offers of used cars?

Amazon has now used usage fits. For now, only Los Angeles dealers can be mentioned for used and certified second-hand vehicles, where customers complete the sale via Amazon. A big problem, but we are complete nerds, were distracted by one of the cars that Amazon uses to advertise the service.

It is, of all things, a Lada Vesta SW Cross, a raised station wagon of the Russian state ownership. A car that is not sold in many markets outside of Russia, and Certainly Not the US.

A strange choice to be sure. It is not unusual to see that companies use images that can be a made -up display or a mashup of several different models to represent a generic car. Amazon itself also uses a RAM 1500 with its logos removed in his press release on the new service for used cars. But a Lada? It must have been somewhere in a royalty -free image, and nobody at Amazon thought someone would raise an eyebrow. They didn’t see us coming.

What is especially funny is that this is the second time in a week that things like this happened. As our friends at The Autopian reportDe Gop used an image of an old Lada in a tweet about how the big great account of the Trump administration “will make the cars great again” and “will stimulate the return of the Great American Car.”

Amazon Autos launched its service a while back with Hyundai, and from now on the used auto offers from Hyundai dealers in LA-Area are. Amazon says it is planning to add new, non-Hyundai dealers in the coming months.

We cannot imagine that we will see many Ladas that are mentioned there for sale.
