Caio Borralho is happy that Khamzat Chimaev is finally a UFC champion.
‘Borz’ scored a dominant unanimous decision victory at Dricus du Plessis in August to catch the undisputed middleweight world title. Now the unbeaten Chechen Monster has a huge target on its back, with everyone in the division chewing on the bit to test themselves against the 15-0 hunter.
So far, no one has emerged as a clear title candidate, although this could change this Saturday when Borralho puts the most important event in the spotlight for a collision with Nassourdine Imavov.

Looking ahead to a potential collision with Chimaev, Borralho welcomed the challenge and even offered a few friendly words to the newly beaten middleweight king.
“I am happy that he is now the champion, because if people say he is unbeatable, imagine how good he will be if someone beats him,” Borralho said Nice junkie. “And if I am that guy, you know. So definitely a good place to be now. Feel very happy for him as a champion.
“I think he deserved that. He worked very hard for that … I was part of his training camp and so. Very happy for the man, but I am willing to go there, to do the company and face it.”
Caio Borralho Gunning for the number 1 ranking of Imavov in UFC Paris
Borralho goes in his UFC Paris Headliner on a win with nine battles, including highlight-real highlights against Michał Oleksiejczuk and Paul Craig. The co-founder of Fighting Nerds landed a big victory over Jared Cannonier in his most recent outing, so he went to the number 7 spot in the ranking.
With a victory over Imavov, he will probably catch up with the top position and place himself in pole position for a middleweight title.
