Sean Strickland lashed out at Caio Borralho.
The Fighting Nerds co-founder suffered his first loss in the Octagon in UFC Paris on Saturday and handed over a decisive unanimous decision to Nassourdine Imavov.
Weeks earlier, Borralho served as the official backup for the 185-pound title conflict between Dricus du Plessis and Khamzat Chimaev-a decision that, according to Strickland, played a direct role in the loss of Borralho in the city of Light.
“Caio is my buddy, but he is an idiot,” Strickland wrote on X. “He trained with us and was useless.
‘Me: what’s wrong with you?
“Caio: I cut, I am an alternative.“So you give up four weeks of your camp, cut off the weight twice while you have arrived a fight? Who said you should do that, please.”

Strickland continued in response to research into fans and revealed that he was so frustrated by Borralho’s decision that he “wanted to hit him.”
“I didn’t say anything because I wanted to keep his mind, but he really succeeded bad advice from someone,” Strickland added. “He was not that fight. It missed two weeks of training to reduce the weight twice.”
“What do you think happens when you kill your body so much in such a short period?” Said Strickland and answered to another commentator. “Exactly that.”
With the loss, Borralho is now as the number 7-arranged competitions in the division and will probably have to take an impressive bounce back victory before he gets his first crack at UFC Gold.
In the meantime, Imavov apparently put itself in pole position for a shot on the crown of Chimaev after beating both Israel Adesanya and Borralho this year. Of course, both Reinier de Ridder and the ‘Fluffy’ Hernandez ‘Hernandez might say something about that on October 18. The two have been set to head UFC Vancouver in what could very well become a middleweight title -eliminator.
