Brentford has announced the arrival of two minority shareholders, with one of them an important name of Hollywood.
Film director Sir Matthew Vaughn and philanthropist Gary Lubner have bought interests in the bees.
Matthew Benham, confirms the club, remains the majority shareholder.
The football authorities – Chief Executive Jon Varney, director Football Phil Giles and chairman Cliff Crown – will all remain in their current role.
In one Statement on the club’s websiteBrentford said that the investment “the ambitions of Brentford reinforces for continuous growth on and next to the field. Equity and financing the new shareholders will not only make more investments in the team possible, but also create improved commercial opportunities and the reach of Brentford and Impact Local and then will influence.”
Chief Executive Varney believes that the investment will help the club build on its recent success – a 10th placed finish in the Premier League previous period – and he insisted that Vaughn and Lubner were “aligned” with the values of the club.
Brentford is preparing for their fifth season in the top flight, but it will be their first without Thomas Frank in the Dugout after the Dane had left for Tottenham.

Who are the new co-owners of Brentford?
Vaughn is one of the most respected British filmmakers. He founded Marv Studios, who was responsible for the production of films such as the Kingsman franchise, Kick-Ass and Lock, Stock and two smoking barrels.
He was knighted last year in the dismissal of the Prime Minister for services from the creative industry. He married former supermodel Claudia Schiffer in 2002.
Lubner is now the founder of this Day Foundation – a charity that is aimed at offering opportunities to young people from all layers of life.
He was also the Chief Executive of Belron, the leading vehicle glass repair company.
Speaking of his new investment, Vaughn said that the West -London club was first brought to his attention by an actor, who called the bees’ a great club ‘to invest’.
“My journey with Brentford started 25 years ago when an actor suggested that it would be a” great club to invest in “and I have since followed their progress with well -deserved respect,” Vaughn said.
“A few years later, an agent made the same suggestion and so I went to a game, and it was the most unique, intimate and yet epic match I had ever been.
“While he showed me in the stadium and introduced me to the brilliant owner and the exceptional management team, I could only hear the voice of the actor who told me for the first time about the club that in my head ultimately and said:” You should have listened to me, it would have been much cheaper 25 years ago! ‘
He added that he wanted to build on the “great foundations” in the Gtech Community Stadium.
“There is a unique universal respect for this club in the football world, and I also share deep in this admiration,” Vaughn continued.
“So here I am, I start with a new chapter of my life where I will give everything to build on the amazing foundations that have been laid on and next to the field.”
Lubner said he looked forward to bringing the club closer to IT communities.
