Charlotte Knights 12, Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp 5 (Statcast Box)
Darer than .500, the knights (61-75) showed that they still have enough doll in their bats to set up an impressive show against the Jumbo shrimps (80-56). New faces from Birmingham played a tough role in the attacking fireworks, while Mario Camiletti and Caden Connor Six Hits, Four Runs, two RBIs and two free walks to help feed half of the team runs. Andre Lipcius added a home run, his 18th of the year. On the bump the night almost went as expected. Owen White compiled three solid innings and gave only two hits and one point before he handed the ball to a shaky bull pen. Although the relievers have not blown the game, they certainly did not close Jacksonville. But hey, what’s new?

Birmingham Barons 11, Chattanooga Lookouts 8
The Baronen (77-53) brought the series equal against the viewpoints (68-58) in a victory that should not have ended as close as it did. Rough onions from Hagen Smith and Drew Dalquist have brought the barons into a tight competition. Smith stood up for three points and a home run in four innings before handing the ball to Dalquist, which stumbled through 1 2/3 innings while he faltered four points. Fortunately, Bham favorite William Bergolla helped make the difference by contributing five RBIs in four barriers. DJ Gladey and Calvin Harris, who will start from September Hot, each also contributed a few RBIs and four runs. By keeping their left side on the basic number up to only seven and to bring the ball consistently in the game, the barons added to their run -away division lead.

Greenville Drive 7, Winston-Salem Dash 5 (10 innings)
Although the dashboard (54-73) is determined not to end the season in their division, they are not to blame anyone, but for this loss of extra innings against the Drive (65-64). Winston-Salem maintained a healthy 4-1 lead on the way to the ninth, with Samuel Zavala, Ryan Burrowes and Lyle Miller-Green who each recorded several hits and wore the attack, but Phil Fox could not close the game. While the rest of the pitching staff combined five hits, one run and 10 strikeouts in eight innings, Fox Greenville allowed the game to bind by counting three points in the last possible chance. Morris Austin, who has not converted since the beginning of August, blew the game in the 10th inning by allowing three more runs, one of which came from a bases full of hit-by-pitch.

Kannapolis Cannon Ballers 8, Augusta Greenjackets 1
Kanny (63-67) continues his crawl to .500 after an eruption victory against Augusta (66-61). The ballers struck 11 hits, pulled six free runs and grabbed six extra bases, but surprisingly, came no longer scoring, because the gang left 12 on the base and 5-out-18 went with runners in a score position. Although there was a lot of offensive production to go around, the real stars of the show Kevin Davis and Marco Barrios, who each threw three hitless innings and combined to hit 11 while he walked three in six frames. While his consistency has demolished for most of the season, Davis extended his Shutout streak to five games. Barrios, on the other hand, earned his first Kanny Save.
