Charlotte Knights 3, Norfolk Tides 2 ((Status box))
Righthander Duncan Davitt was solid by six innings for the Knights (57-65) and threw nine strikeouts while gaining the victory over the tides (52-67), 3-2. Davitt was hot from the gate and took the side against Norfolk in the first inning, and he only gave up two hits in his outing; The only blemish was a solo -home run that was specified on the bottom of the second. Connor McCollough started on the hill for Birmingham and threw up for four excellent frames with only three hits and four strikeouts, with one undeserved run for Rocket City that came from his own failed Pickoff attempt that a runner scored. The attack exploded for three points each in the third and fourth innings. Caleb Bonemer set up three hits, with a home run and double for two runs that came in. Ronny Hernandez and Colby Shelton also placed multi-hit competitions, although Jordan Sprinkle pushed into two RBIs and also had two steals at night.
