Which car looks nicer to drive than it actually is? – Jalopnik

Many cars look like they will be an absolute explosion to drive. They have slender lines or large aggressive grilles, all the things that our brains signal to believe that a car will be a real performer. But when they slide behind the wheel, those cars cannot always cash in the checks who write their styling. Today we ask you: what is the worst perpetrator, with a driving experience that the styling does not live up to?

For my choice I want to go with the Subaru Solterra. However, I don’t want to talk about the new facelifting Solterra. First of all, I did not drive it, but more importantly, the styling is so different that I do not think that the same relationship between look-to-performance applies. The Early Solterra, however, I drove the road, off-road, I have placed the car through the steps that a Subaru would have, and the pre-facelift Solterra where simply does not make the promise of his black plastic mudguards.

It’s fine.

The early Solterra creates this image of an off-road-ready, rough and tumbling EV. If a fan of fully electric off-road (and an old member of Subie Squad), you would think that I would be the target market for such a vehicle. But when I jumped into the driver’s seat and took the crossover around Catalina Island and the mainland of California, it was … great. It was certainly a vehicle. One of the cars of all time, even.

My choice for a car with a driving experience that does not live up to the styling is the early Subaru Solterra, but I am curious what your choice is. Leave your answers in the comments below and I will choose my favorites later in the week. Bonus points if you have actually driven the car that you are talking about and not only to the second -hand refers what reviewers said when they had to make a turn in the driver’s seat.
