Nike Basketball’s ‘Greater Than’ series has spawned some of the best non-signature basketball models of the 2020s, and the Cut line is the culmination of that. The GT Cut 3 was one of the most worn sneakers in the NBA last season, while the original GT Cut has remained extremely popular in its own right, especially in China.
The GT Cut 4 builds on the performance success of its predecessors, but with an all-new visual package, consisting of sculpted lines that resemble DNA helices or fishbones along the underside of the upper. A ZoomX 3.0 midsole and parabolic Zoom Strobel work together with RBR-X foam for improved stability, joined by a Cushlon base for extra support. The model also features a 3D molded collar, a molded vamp tongue and a molded exoskeleton upper that supports movement in all directions.
Nike’s decision to debut the “Preheat” on Dallas Wings star Paige Bueckers tells us that this is a sneaker for the next generation. The sneaker has an iridescent leather exterior in striking, aquatic shades of blue, teal and purple. Several additional colorways have already surfaced, including a “Year of the Horse” edition and Victor Wembanyama PE, among others.
Once again, the Nike Zoom GT Cut 4 “Preheat” releases on February 3 via Nike SNKRS and retailers for $210 USD. Unisex adult sizes are available. Check out the official images below and scroll back to our Where to Buy section for purchasing links.
