It’s (almost) officially #12 time. While there are still a few weeks between us and the start of the 2025-2026 NBA season, Morant’s latest is already underway. The Nike Ja 3 “Sail” releases on October 9 in adult, GS and PS sizes ($125, $102, $87). As with most of their releases, Nike will be dropping their pairs primarily through their SNKRS platform, but given the Ja 3’s status as a basketball model in the spotlight, there are a ton of additional retailers that have their own pairs.
Check out the Where to Buy section for all the options where you can scoop up a pair, updated with direct pickup links upon arrival. Scroll on for a refresher on the silhouette as a whole and what makes this off-white edition so striking.

Even before he steps onto the NBA court in 2025, Ja Morant could be poised for one of his most exciting seasons yet. His latest signature, the Nike Ja 3, was without a doubt the most warmly received in his burgeoning signature line. While naysayers of previous editions often claimed that his product was simply a recreation or innovation of already established designs (e.g. the proximity of the Ja 2 to the Kobe 5/6), there is no denying that the Ja 3 is entirely his own. Repetitions of its triangular logo on the upper in a pattern that mimics the tread of a tire are the most obvious, but using that branding to create the traction on the outsole only reinforces the sneaker’s connection to its namesake.
Paradoxically, what makes the Nike Ja 3 “Sail” stand out is the way it blends in. Put less cryptically, almost all of the colorways the public has received thus far have relied on vibrant hues that match the point guard’s explosive on-court performance and overall personality. Breaking that design language with a white/off-white pair makes this probably the most easily worn colorway in the silhouette’s early run, aided only by a jet black Swoosh on the medial and lateral sides.
