When gout gouts at the World Athletics Championships – and how to look

The World Athletics Championships 2025 are in full swing in Tokyo, Japan, with a full series of Australians to watch: from Lotloper Jess Hull to discus star Matt Denny.
An Australian who will be enough at the championships of this year is Wunderkind Jicht, the 17-year-old Sprint sensation of Queensland.
He will make his senior international debut this week in Tokyo – the youngest ever athlete to participate in his event at the world championships.

Here is everything you need to know.

When does gout compete and in which event?

Jicht gout will be performed in just one event at the world championships: the 200 meters from the gentlemen. He did not come in to qualify for the 100m and is not part of the Australian 4x100m relay team.

The 200m heats will take place on Wednesday at 9.15 pm. The semi -final is Thursday at 10.02 pm Aest.

And if gout gout the final would make you a late night: that will take place on Friday at 11.06 pm.

How can I watch gout gout Run?

Like any session of the World Athletics Championships this year, you can catch the Gout gout event via SBS Viceland, where it is broadcast live and free.

Who is gout against?

Jicht gout will have strong competition this week.
The favorite is Noah Lyles from the United States, and for a good reason: he has all won the last world championship titles in the event.
Lyles is one of the 13 participants in the 200m of men who have reached a time of less than 20 seconds somewhere this year.

American athletes Kenneth Bednarek and T’mars McCallum, Jamaica’s Bryan Levell and Botswana’s Letsile Tebogo will also be the ones to look at.

What would gout mean making the last?

Jicht qualifying for the 200m final would be a huge achievement: only three Australian men have achieved such an achievement, and no one has done this since 2005.

If the youngest athlete ever participated in the 200m at the championships, he would also be the youngest finalist in the history of the event. That distinction is currently in the hands of the Japanese Abdul Hakim Sani Brown, who claimed it in 2017 at the age of 18 and 157 days.

What did gout say?

During a pre-race media event on Monday, gout shared how he felt for the heats.

He said that a new personal record, regardless of where he ended up in the ranking, he would have a huge success in his eyes.

“It’s about telling myself mentally that I deserve to be here, that I am the same as everyone else,” he said.
“It is clear that my first experience at this level, so I don’t try to put too much pressure on myself.
“But also enough pressure to exert, so that I can go outside and run very quickly and enjoy it.”
Each session of the nine -day event is broadcast live and free in SBS Viceland, including the World Athletics Championships 2025 Hub Via SBS On Demand, which also contains complete repetitions, mini -entertainment and Aussie Focus clips for each session.
Morning sessions run from 8 a.m. to 1.30 p.m. Aest on 13-15 and 20-21 September, while the evening sessions are every evening of the championships from 8 p.m. to 11.30 p.m.
