It is generally known that if an average golfer wants to improve their game, they would not have to model their bag to a PGA Tour Pro, but rather an LPGA or PGA Tour champion player.

PGA Tour Pros have crazy swing speeds and can play photos for which courses are simply not designed. They have very different golf clubs to meet their needs.

On the other hand, LPGA and older professionals have much lower waving rates and play more jobs as the architects meant. This results in a completely different arrangement of the golf bag and it is one of the average golfer can learn a lot.

In the episode of this week of Golf’s fully equipped, co-gastheer Jake Morrow, who spoke from this week’s Epson Tour Championship, explained how all players there leave their ego at the door when it comes to golf clubs.

Morrow explained that when filming several videos “What’s in the Bag” he saw several players who had no irons for longer than an 8-iron.

“I think replacing long irons with hybrids to the point that you are comfortable is an extremely underestimated equipment story, right?” Said Morrow. “Like, if it is a 7-hybrid, then it is a 7-hybrid and what does it matter?

“If you hit your number and stop the ball where you want it, then that’s great. And nobody should tell you that that’s wrong. Nobody can judge you for that.”

During the PGA Tour, players largely extinct the traditional 2 and 3 irons, with the 4-iron afterwards. Morrow saw many 7-hybrids this week.

The fact is that hybrids and high fairway forests are considerably easier than the equivent irons, and if some of the most precise and demanding balls on the planet choose it, then there is no reason for an average golfer to play a set that consists of a set of driver, 3-wood, 5-wood and 4i-pw.
