When is Eclipse season 2025?

This month we run to our second and final Eclipse season of the year with a lunar eclipse that coincided with the full moon in fish on September 7, 2025, and a solar eclipse coincides with the Nieuwe Moon in Virgo on September 22, 2025.

What is an eclipse?

We are familiar with the dance of the sun, the moon and the earth that brings us a new and full moon every 28 days. Eclipsen, however, are a form of that dance in which the moon reaches the upper or lower threshold of its tilted elliptical course. These borders represent the lunar nodes. When the moon reaches these thresholds, it also forms perfect coordination with the sun and the earth. It is here that the new moon becomes a solar eclipse and the full moon a lunar eclipse.

This interaction between the moon and the lunar nodes makes blackout so special. According to astrology, the lunar nodes represent the fate, goal and evolution. An eclipse brings a coordination of the sun that represents our mind and life force, with the moon, which represents our intuition and inner truths and emotions, and the earth, which is the basis on which we bring our destination into reality. When this happens, the feeling of the goal of the lunar nodes seems to gain access to a way in which our call from destination, alignment or evolution can reach us.

What Eclipse season means for you

The core of the Eclipse season is a force, a presence, goal orientation and a coordination that seems closer to whom we and closer to life itself, or that is felt in the moment or reveals itself on our way.

And if we know something about transformation, it is that we cannot control it and we cannot orchestrate it, just as we cannot only travel through it with the Spirit. It is within the transformation that we are often led to our edges where the only option is to disconnect, breathe out, allow and trust ourselves – and in life.
