We have all heard the expression respect all builds, although in my experience it is used more often in a facetious way than in a serious way. I fear that I am in the minority when I say that I respect all builds, even those who confuse me to my core, and that is because I just love it, people like to be proud of their cars, regardless of their taste level or fierce lack of it. That does not mean that I do not lift eyebrow when I see people spending time and money on adjusting or changing an obscure car, or one that is not particularly valuable, because I do 100% that. But different strokes for different people, right?

Whether it is a tastefully adapted rare classic, a seriously discontinued diesel pick-up or a 20-year-old family sedan covered with stick-on automatic zone parts, I still see that people are proud of their ride. So now that is out of the way, what is the weirdest car you have seen tailor -made?

Mine is a Toyota Venza of the first generation

The weirdest car that I have seen tailor -made, or at least the one who stands out in my mind is this closed pink first generation Toyota Venza I saw Street parked in San Diego. Of course the Venza of the first generation was sold with the 2gr-FE V6 that produces 400 hp when it was loaded into the Lotus Emira, but the Venza never had sporting ambitions.

It was a medium -sized crossover that competed with the Subaru Outback and the Ford Edge; Why would anyone choose to take a boring 15-year-old medium-sized crossover and invest tons of money to lower and paint it? Builds me so surprises, but again, I love the fact that someone from their Venza loves enough to adjust and proudly park on a large promenade for passers -by to admire or take photos to share on a popular car blog.

It is very a, “you know what? Hell yes” mentality. But that is enough of me, this is about you, the tender and graceful Jalopnik public. What is the weirdest car you have seen tailor -made? Let us know in the responses.
