Bear vs Bull Cases
The popular AI solution recognized the volatility in early 2026 and predicted it would likely decline the following week. A number of scenarios were laid out, with the bearish scenario predicting a new retracement towards and below the two key levels mentioned above: $2.00 and $1.90. In this “worst-case” situation, XRP would even fall to the 2025 low of $1.85.
“A break below $1.85 would reverse the recent bullish structure and suggest that the early January rally was merely a relief,” the AI platform said.
The opposite is true: the bull scenario. In this, the token will decisively break past the $2.40 barrier that closed the run-up on January 6. Should the bulls be successful, XRP could be on track for another double-digit increase to around $2.60. ChatGPT predicted that the weekend’s order books “could actually accelerate such a move if buying pressure were to suddenly emerge.”
However, it is worth noting that the AI chatbot gave a higher probability of a bear case (25%-30%) compared to the bull case (20%-25%). The most likely scenario, however, is less eventful.
Basic housing
While the two top-down forecast models sound more exciting, ChatGPT outlined that the ‘base case’ has the highest probability of 45% to 50%, even though there are far fewer fireworks. It noted that sideways consolidation is to be expected after such a rapid move from $1.85 to $2.40 and then to $2.10.
