I have to be honest: I was a little unsure when I first heard about the new thing Scotty Cameron Studio Xperimental Limited Putters.
I thought they just made some minor style changes. But then I started to take a closer look at the matter Scotty Cameron Studio Xperimental Limited Squareback 2 (and its buddy, the Fastback 2) putters, and I realized they bring a lot more to the table than just good looks.
Let me tell you why I’m so impressed!
What they offer besides aesthetics
From purely visual representation to performance-oriented technology:
- Multi-material construction: The headings combine a milled 303 stainless steel housing immediately Sole made of 6061 aluminum component.
- Advantage: This allows the weight to be moved low/away from the face (via the aluminum), increasing the MOI (Moment of Inertia) – the result: better stability during the stroketurn less if you don’t hit perfectly.
- Chain link face milling + Studio Carbon Steel (SCS) insert.: The flat insert is made of black nickel-plated SCS steel, with a chain link milling pattern.
- Advantage: The chain link pattern is designed to reduce “touch points” at impact, creating a more authentic roll and improved ball contact feedback. In other words: less slipping/slipping on impact, a more direct role and a better feeling.
- Custom graphite, balanced shaft: This is a non-traditional feature for putters from this brand.
- Advantage: The counterweight and graphite material increase stability throughout the stroke and optimize the “balance feeling” of the putter. A more consistent pace and feel can improve control of facial angle and roll.
- I-beam plumber’s neck + sight line alignment: Both models feature a precision milled I-beam plumber collar and “short, precision milled parallel sight lines” on the top line for alignment.
- Advantage: The Neck styling and alignment aids help players straighten the face consistently and set up with the ball in the correct position in relation to the correct spot. Better setup and face control results in more consistent putts.
- Durable, glare-resistant finish: The “Steel Gray” PVD finish is more than aesthetic: it is functional.
- Advantage: Minimizes glare and disturbing reflectionsespecially in bright conditions, helps improve focus at address and reduce visual “noise”.

The Scotty Cameron Studio Xperimental Limited Squareback 2 and Fastback 2 putters will be available at select Titleist golf stores worldwide Friday October 31, 2025while supplies last-price: $850.
