He was even ranked and came to number 12 on the official charts!
It is unlikely that the absence of Buday will make the least dent in the Bottom Line of the UFC, especially with a whole series of Contenter series contracts that are about to be handed out in the coming months, but it still stinks that a 33-year-old in a division can be released in a desperate need for competent athletes. The UFC should be where the best fight, right? And Buday is pretty good.
