West Ham asked AS Roma midfielder Lorenzo Pellegrini while they want to strengthen their team.
Graham Potter would be a fan of the playmaker and that part of the field is one that the manager hopes to be able to improve before the end of the summer window.
The Hammers have already added to their team in the market with Jean-Clair Todibo who participated in a £ 34.5 million deal from Nice and El Hadji Malick Diouf who arrives from Slavia Prague for a cool £ 19 million.
Goalkeeper Mads Hermansen was also broken up from Leicester City, but now it is in the engine room where Potter add.

Pellegrini proved to be for Roma and Sassuolo during his career and would offer extra experience to the West Ham team at the age of 29.

Pellegrini came through the youth ranks in the Olimpico before he left in 2015. He would eventually return to the club where it all started and he is a consistent performer in the capital.
He has also proven as a versatile performer and has produced strong impressions as a number eight, deeply lying midfielder and as a number 10 in a more advanced position.
Where Pellegrini would fit in West Ham
Potter could certainly use the talent to combine with his midfield where the hammers already have the will of Edson Alvarez, Tomas Soucek, James Ward Prowse and Lucas Paqueta.
A player who may be out of the picture in the London Stadium This coming campaign is Scotland hopeful Andy Irving.

It is believed that the Premier League outfit will maintain around £ 3.5 million before punishing a deal, but the hoops have not yet improved their efforts.

Celts spent the summer with the pursuit of two wing players and a striker and are overloaded in the middle of midfield.
The native status of Irving – who started at Harten in Gorgie – could, however, benefit the Scottish Premiership holders, given their Champions League exploits.
It is still to be seen whether Irving will leave the club this summer, but it is unlikely that the potential signing of Pellegrini would have much of an attitude.
