Do you think your team is ready for the play-offs? Think again. There is always value in streamers and saving for the playoffs is becoming more important by the week. That’s why every week I bring you an article where I answer two simple questions: who should I stream this week and who should I save for the future?
To keep things simple, we’ll define a streamer as any player you wouldn’t normally pick up and who is a viable option this week. They may be on your bench or they may be on waivers depending on your league. We’ll define a stash as any player you can potentially find on waivers that you should save for the future, either because there’s a favorable matchup ahead or because they could become a future fantasy starter.

QB streamers:
Jacoby Brissett (ARI): Without Marvin Harrison Jr, Jacoby Brissett completed a record 47 passes in Week 11. He now faces a top-five quarterback matchup that happens to coincide with one of the toughest matchups. It’s hard to see Arizona getting the run game going again this week, making Brissett a fantastic one-and-done streamer.
Caleb Williams (CHI): It’s normal to be a little vague about Caleb Williams given his tendency to blind weeks, but he’s always been good in juicy games. This week he faces the Steelers, who continue to struggle against the pass while being strong against the run. While the Bengals reserved that trend last week, making this a riskier flow than I prefer, the upside is certainly there for the Bears passer.
QB Save:
JJ McCarthy (MIN): I don’t see much value in stashing a quarterback if there are no teams next week and I don’t see anyone having an impending breakout. But looking further ahead, I really like JJ McCarthy’s playoff matches. He gets the Cowboys, Giants and Lions, ranked 1st3rd and 12e in matchup rankings. And as a bonus he gets 6e-Washington ranked Week 14. He’s a great stock if you don’t have a clear starter.
RB streamers:
Emanuel Wilson (GB): This one is very obvious, so I won’t harp on it. Emanuel Wilson is the clear Packers starter if Josh Jacobs indeed misses Week 12. Wilson is a riskier start than Jacobs, as Green Bay will likely work in Chris Brooks and rely more on the passing game. But he’s still a Top 20 option for me in a mediocre matchup.
Alvin Kamara (NO): The Saints bizarrely enter their game against the Falcons as favorites according to Vegas. That puts Alvin Kamara in play as a strong streaming starter against an Atlanta defense that has allowed the fourth-most points to running backs this season.
Zach Charbonnet (SEA): The Seahawks are 13.5-point favorites against the dreadful Titans and should lean against a weak Tennessee defense, especially after Sam Darnold’s implosion against the Rams last weekend.
RB repositories:
Bhayshul Tuten (JAC): The Jaguars confusingly split their backfield 50-50 in Week 11, leading to many more touches for Bhayshul Tuten before an injury knocked him out at halftime. There’s a chance this could be a changing of the guard, so it’s worth putting Tuten away just in case.
Running Backs get injured more often than any other player in fantasy, with the average Top 36 running back in fantasy missing two games per season. For that reason, the best bet in fantasy is to use running backs who are one injury away from a down role. Each week I’ll list my favorite RB stocks, including the players you won’t get to play with most weeks.
Top Handcuffs: Blake Corum, Brian Robinson, Bhayshul Tuten, Ollie Gordon, Tank Bigsby, Chuba Hubbard, Isaiah Davis, Ameer Abdullah, Raheem Mostert, Keaton Mitchell, Michael Carter, Devin Neal
WR streamers:
Michael Wilson (ARI): I previously talked about Jacoby Brissett’s likelihood for another pass-heavy game and if Marvin Harrison Jr stays out, Michael Wilson will be the main beneficiary, with Greg Dortch as a desperation streamer if MHJ is indeed out again.
Darnell Mooney (ATL): Darnell Mooney has scored 15 goals in his last two games and should benefit from the possible absence of Drake London. There’s a lot of risk here, as Mooney has as many single-reception games as multi-reception outings. But without London, you have to believe Mooney and Kyle Pitts will be the top dogs.
Jakobi Meyers (JAC): Jakobi Meyers has seen his numbers increase since arriving at the Jaguars. He appears to be the best option in the passing game as Brian Thomas Jr. is out and is a viable streamer in a tough Cardinals game.
WR repositories:
Luther Burden (CHI): The Bears gave rookie Luther Burden the WR3 job last week. We know players can flourish by the end of their first season and while I don’t think that’s likely here, it’s possible he could play a fantasy-relevant role. Despite the juicy Steelers matchup, he has a very risky start in Week 12, but should be included in any league.
TE streamers:
Hunter Henry (NE): The Patriots are bad against tight ends and Hunter Henry played almost every snap last week. Usually he brings a low floor, but if Austin Hooper stays out, Henry goes from a low-end stream to a reliable start in this tight landscape.
Kyle Pitts (ATL): If Drake London is out for Week 12, Kyle Pitts will become a key receiving channel for Kirk Cousins and the Falcons. The match against Saints is a bit dull, but I’m confident Pitts can bounce back from a disappointing few weeks if London is indeed absent.
TE storage:
AJ Barner (SEA): AJ Barner has struggled with injuries and consistent production this season, but with Seattle getting little out of their non-JSN receivers, I see Barner emerging as a key player down the road. He has a trio of tight top-half matchups in the fantasy playoffs and offers a ton of touchdown upside, especially if they start using him more as their “QB sneaker.”
K streamers:
Cairo Santos (CHI): I’ve been high on the Bears kicker all season, as Cairo Santos and Jake Moody have been well under the radar in the top five. This week Santos gets a top five kicking matchup against the Steelers, so he’s a great kicking streamer.
Andy Borregales (NE): Andy Borregales made enough payments last week, so I’m going back to the source. There should be plenty of points in the Patriots/Bengals game, giving the youngster a strong floor and high ceiling.
Daylight Savings Streamers:
Browns DST (CLE): The Browns have played well against quality opponents lately, so they should perform even better against the struggling Raiders. Especially in leagues where sacks and interceptions are prioritized over points allowed, the Browns are a top option for me.
Falcons DST (ATL): The Falcons have a high pocket and I imagine they shut down the Saints in a grindfest in Week 12. That should lead to a good DST outing.
Note: I will not be listing kicker or DST stocks. You should never bench kickers or DSTs in redraft leagues. There are virtually no exceptions. Please don’t do it.
