Shibuya Song will be declared in the conditional Jockeys Handicap nine for three miles in Southwell tomorrow. With the race for riders who have not driven more than twenty winners, Harry Atkins makes the ride. Although she could do with a more galloping number, she certainly has the opportunity to have a chance in such a competition and we left the head cover on this occasion of her.
We entered Sumatran Tiger in Stratford on Monday. She delights us on her flat debut that had previously been successful in Jersey and France. She seems to enjoy her jumping and although she has walked over obstacles in the past, she still needs a few runs before she has a disability mark. Hopefully she offers a lot of fun for owner Bunny Roberts this winter.
We also have Vecht poet and usually Mozart arrived in Brighton on Tuesday. Poet returns to a mile and a quarter, while Mozart is entered in the miles and a half handicap after he liked us during his last run in Bath.
It was great to have showjumper Johnathan Bowman on Monday to help with jumping the horses in the out -of -school. We enjoy it that he comes in to give the horses a lot of practice and self -confidence about obstacles and I am sure that such exercises will be a great help with the racing job throughout the season.
