Pakistan defeated the United States team with ease, by 32 runs. In the previous match they had a hard time for the Netherlands, mainly because of the poor batting display. The victory over the USA was the result of a team game. Agha and his men dominated the entire match in all departments.
The Pakistan skipper is not happy with their batting
During the post-match presentation ceremony, Salman Ali Agha said that they might have achieved another win but they would have improved their batting much more. The captain, however, praised the bowling efforts.

“We got the job done but we needed to bat better in the middle overs. The bowlers did well. We haven’t batted at our best yet,” the Pakistan skipper said.
It was a surprise to the fans when Pakistan batted first. Due to the dew factor, in most cases teams chose to bowl first. But Agha and his team had other thoughts.
“We are Pakistan, we do things differently from the world (about wanting to bat first). We are also comfortable chasing. Our batting order is flexible,” he pointed out.

The Men in Green batted first, registering 190 for 9 in 20 overs. The team got most of its runs from Sahibzada Farhan, who scored 73 off 41 with eleven boundaries, including six fours and five sixes.
Babar Azam was the second highest run-scorer in the first innings with 40, and Shadab Khan played a quick knock of 30 runs. The rest of the batting did not live up to expectations. It is understandable why Agha talked about the battle preparations.
Against Pakistan’s 190, the United States cricket team managed to score just 158 for 8 in their 20-over limit. They were closely involved in the match because of Shubham Ranjane (51), Shayan Jahangir (49) and Milind Kumar (29). It was star pacer Shaheen Afridi, who was crucial with Ranjane and immediately pushed the US aside. Ranjane’s wicket proved fatal for the second team as the rest of their batting line-up remained largely silent.

“Shaheen (Afridi) is a match winner. His batting has improved. Abrar (Ahmed) has been excellent. He is someone who will get us back into the games,” the captain said.
Two wins in a row should boost the team’s morale ahead of their next scheduled assignment, which is against India. Without naming any team, Agha claimed that they are prepared for any challenge ahead.
“We are ready for any challenge. If we play good cricket, we can be good against any team,” Agha said.
Salman Ali Agha mainly mentioned Afridi and Ahmed, but it was Usman Tariq who took 3 wickets in 4 overs and a brace for Shadab Khan. One wicket each for Afridi, Ahmed and Mohammad Nawaz.
