He said he has been welcomed with great warmth at most of the venues he has played. Kohli, however, reserved special praise for the Chinnaswamy, which he called a “very special” ground for him.
“To be completely honest, I have received a lot of support at most of the places I have played and the fans have been really great. But I think the ground that really stands out for me is of course the Chinnaswamy in Bengaluru. Yes, that ground will always be very special to me,” Kohli said at the Asian Paints event.

For those unfamiliar, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) recently unveiled Asian Paints as India‘s Color Partner for three years.
The announcement that the multinational will partner with the Indian team was made ahead of two ICC events in 2026 – the T20 World Cup and the Women’s T20 World Cup. The three-year partnership is reportedly valued at around INR 45 crore.
Kohli, who was an integral part of RCB in their title-winning campaign earlier this year (657 runs in 15 innings at a strike rate of 144.71), will next feature in competitive cricket for the Indian team in their upcoming ODI series against South Africa. He had recently played three games Down Under against Australia, his first series of competitive matches after the Champions Trophy in the United Arab Emirates.
