Cricket often creates moments of rivalry on the field, but off it it’s humanity that shines brightest. A touching video of Suryakumar Yadav’s family praying for Shreyas Iyer’s recovery has gone viral.

The clip, shared by Suryakumar’s sister during the Chhath Puja celebrations, shows his mother offering prayers for Iyer’s speedy recovery.

“Everyone should pray for Shreyas Iyer’s health. It really saddened me when I heard about his condition,” she said.

Fans flooded social media with emotional reactions, praising the warmth and compassion of the Yadav family.

Iyer is currently undergoing treatment at a hospital in Sydney after sustaining a serious injury during the third ODI against Australia.

The BCCI confirmed that he injured his spleen and suffered internal bleeding while taking a spectacular catch to dismiss Alex Carey.

Moments after the catch, Iyer complained of pain and was rushed to the hospital, where he was shifted to the intensive care unit.

The latest update from the Indian team management suggests that Iyer is now stable and recovering well. He is expected to return to India within a week for further treatment and rest.
