Day 1 of the first test between India and West India in Ahmedabad saw a tense moment when Kl Rahul almost lost his wicket to a run-out after a horror confusion with debutant Saudharsan.
The incident unfolded in the 24th of the innings of India. Sudharsan, who still looked nervy at the fold, bumped a ball to mid-wicket and immediately left for a single.
Rahul responded quickly, but Sudharsan stopped halfway and left the senior batter in the middle of the field. A quick throw at the end of the bowler missed the stumps and stumps and saving Rahul but not without consequences.

Earlier, the Bowlers of India set the tone by bundling West -India before 162. Mohammed Siraj played with 4 to 40, while Jasprit Bumrah claimed 3 wickets. Kuldeep Yadav broke inside with 2 to 25, so that the screws are tightened to the visitors.
