Watch- Gautam Gambhir, Hardik Pandya Combine to give Pakistan another handshake heart burning for another year

Team India chief coach Gautam Gambhir’s remarks about the handshake boycot have become viral after India had won a six-wicket victory over Pakistan in the Asia Cup 2025. Gambhir was seen to ask his players to disguise the Pakistani team after their second successive victory over the Aartsvogels.

It all started when Suryakumar Yadav refused to shake hands with Salman Ali Agha during the Worp in the group phase between the two teams. Indian players also do not shake hands with Pakistan players after the game. It is worth noting that Indian players avoid greeting the match officers.

Tilak Varma skipped the match-winning four on the penultimate ball of the 19th. Varma and Hardik Pandya, who led India past the finish line, immediately walked to the dressing room and skipped the usual handshake after the game with the Pakistani players.

Just like in their earlier competition, there was no handshake between India captain Suryakumar Yadav and Pakistan Captain Salman Ali Agha at the Toss.

Are umpire se to mil le – gautam gambhir on no -hand shake attitude

Gautam Gambhir has made a small change to the team’s no-manshake. In a viral video, Gautam Gambhir saw his players instructed to get out of the dressing room and greet the referees on the field. He made it clear that the policy would continue to avoid hands with the Pakistani players.

After his instructions, the Indian players walked into the field and approached the Pakistani players, but only shake hands with the match officials, including referee Andy Pycroft, before they returned to the dressing room.

Gambhir can be heard to ask players: “are umpire se to mil le” (“at least greets the officials”). India showed respect for the officials while maintaining their position against Pakistan.
