An Australian commentator couldn’t hold back his tears while watching Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli will probably bat together for the last time Down Under.
The three-match ODI series was an emotional affair for cricket lovers, especially those who stood by Kohli and Rohit through their ups and downs. They made their comeback to international cricket for the first time in seven months. After withdrawing from T20Is in 2024 and Tests earlier this year, India’s two former captains will represent the Men in Blue only in the 50-over format.
During the third and final ODI, Kohli and Rohit forged a match-winning second-wicket partnership of 168 runs off 169 balls to help India chase a target of 237 runs in 38.3 overs with nine wickets in the bench. While Rohit remained unbeaten on 121 off 125 balls, Kohli made 74 not out off 81 deliveries.
In a viral clip shared by Sen Cricket, an Australian commentator was seen in tears as he watched the iconic duo do what they do best, and that is take India to a win.

Rohit emerged as Player of the Series, scoring a half-century in the second ODI in Adelaide and an unbeaten century in the third in Sydney. On the other hand, Kohli did not have a great start to the campaign, registering ducks in the first two ODIs. However, he showed his class in the third ODI.
Australia may have lost the third ODI but they clinched the series after winning the first two matches. The two teams will now face off in a five-match T20I series, starting with the first meeting on Wednesday, October 29 at the Manuka Oval in Canberra.
