[WATCH] Abu Dhabi T10: Tim David hilariously mimics Sunil Narine’s bowling action, leaving Phil Salt and Kieron Pollard divided

Tim David was spotted imitating Sunil Narine while bowling in the Abu Dhabi T10 final on November 30. David secured the Player of the Match for his scintillating 98-run knock as UAE Bulls sealed an 80-run win over Aspin Stallions to secure the title.

The incident took place on the third delivery of the last over of the match. David surprisingly pulled off a Narine-esque move to amuse his teammates, with wicketkeeper Phil Salt and Kieron Pollard having a good laugh at first slip. The cameras immediately panned to Narine on the field. Narine, as always, had no response to offer.

As for the top match at Zayed Cricket Stadium in Abu Dhabi: UAE bulls were put into bat and they scored 150/1 in their 10 overs, with David scoring just over 65% of the team total. His powerful stroke consisted of three fours and no less than twelve sixes.

Talking about the run-chase, Aspin Stallions could only manage 70/4 against the Bulls’ disciplined bowling effort. Except Qais Ahmad, who conceded 14 runs in his first over, every other bowler proved economical.

Narine conceded just 10 runs in his two overs, while David, who Pollard had tasked to bowl the final over of the match, gave away just five runs. None of the Stallions could cross the twenty-run mark when the Bulls were supreme.

David had a sensational tournament, finishing as the leading run-getter with 393 runs at a lethal strike rate of 263.75 in nine innings. With the 2026 T20 World Cup in India and Sri Lanka fast approaching, the middle-order batsman will be an interesting prospect to watch out for.
