The Warriors have won the CSA T20 Challenge after a thrilling Super Over win at Boland Park.

Boland won the toss and chose to bat first.

The hosts struggled to keep the scoreboard ticking in the opening stages as the Warriors’ bowling attack kept it tight with some excellent bowling. Lehan Botha brought Boland back into the match with a crucial knock that steadied the ship and helped Boland achieve a competitive score.

Lehan Botha 51 (45) and Ferisco Adams 32 (24) were the standout hitters.

Senuran Muthusamy 2-23 and Wesley Bedja 2-23 were the standout bowlers.

The Warriors, chasing 143, came out firing. Jordan Hermann and Tristan Stubbs were fantastic in the crease, batting with confidence and total control. However, Siyabonga Mahima brought the hosts back into the match after taking 3 incredible wickets.

The game went to the wire.

With the match on the line, Ayabulela Gqamane delivered an extraordinary final under immense pressure. He bowled four dot balls when the Warriors needed just one more run to win

In the super over, Hermann and Stubbs set a target of 17, which was simply too much for the hosts.
