Las Vegas – Heavyweight Waldo Cortes-Acosta picked up a big finish win over Derrick Lewis at UFC 324, and his next callout was locked and loaded.

And during the second-round TKO, WCA set its sights on Curtis Blaydes, a stud wrestler he accused of talking him out online.

Where and when does Cortes-Acosta want that fight? “I don’t care where they put me there,” said “Salsa Boy,” speaking to media outlets including Cageside Press during the UFC 324 post-fight press conference Saturday. However, the Dominican star, a former baseball player, added: “I want to fight in Mexico, and I want to rip Curtis Blaydes’ head off in Mexico.”

The UFC returns to Mexico City in March, so the timeline is possible.

Josh Hokit, a Contender Series alum and former NFL player, won the night’s other heavyweight title on Saturday, shouts Waldo Cortes-Acosta after his own victory. And even though Cortes-Acosta didn’t like Blaydes’ trash talk, he almost certainly didn’t like Hokit calling him an “unbeatable father” to nine children.

“I saw it, or I heard it,” Cortes-Acosta said of Hokit’s comments, which were delivered in a gimmicky, pro-wrestling style. ‘I met him at the PI [UFC Performance Institute]and I went there to some coaches and said, ‘Listen, do you want to fight me? I’ll tell you what. Look what I did, look what I did. Go there, train. Maybe then our paths will cross.’”

However, Waldo has a better idea of who Hokit should fight: his training partner and former Bellator MMA heavyweight Tyrell Fortune.

“Tyrell Fortune, one of my training partners, I want to give him a shot in the UFC. I said, ‘You know what, Tyrell, come in and beat this guy up for me.’”

Fortune has won his last three fights, capturing two titles on the regional circuit.
