With their location just south of Central Rochester along HWY 390, the Genesee Valley Table Tennis Club is in a great location to serve the Greater Rochester community of Noord -New York. The carrots of table tennis in Rochester go back to the 1930s as not one but two clubs were founded in the year 1938. The club moved a few times and a few different incarnations to the 1950s, 60s and 70s.
The switch to the current location (RSG) took place in 1986. The club Plays on 8 tables on a cement floor with very high ceilings. The club has a Monday competition open for all players and a Tuesday classic competition. Practice time is available on Saturday morning. Because the sports garden is a facility for several indoor sports all year round, players who want extra playing time can rent the tables from the club and play on every evening.
In additional competitions there are tournaments, open play and lessons for all levels.
