Vitalik praises Lean Ethereum Team Progress on long -term -scaling route map

“The Lean Ethereum team has really done a great work this year and delivered all fronts to ensure the long-term scaling, decentralization and resilience of Ethereum,” Vitalik said on Sunday.

He added that he expects all these ideas to be ready to kick in acceleration at about the same time when the short -term sloping route map delivers on his most important milestones.

Lean Ethereum is a minimal proposal for ZKVM (Zero-Knowledge Virtual Machine) from developers intended to offer a recursion-friendly virtual machine for ZK-proofs. In essence, it is a cut out, more efficient version of the Ethereum computer engine.

Ethereum Scaling Roadmap

Vitalik explains that LeanVM has been designed to safely integrate with Maving edits.

“The point is that the Lean Roadmap lags behind the short -term slicing milestones, so that ideally the first is ready to go exactly when the last one is completely on mainnet,” he said.

Developers deliberately make the “slim” improvements at the back of the immediate scale solutions, so everything is ready to collaborate seamlessly.

According to the Meager route mapThe specifications are still smoothed out, the building starts in 2026 and testing starts in 2027.

LeanVM is expected to reduce the costs for large-scale calculations, accelerates the recursion for ZK-proof calculations and maintain network decentralization and security.

The next important upgrade for the Ethereum -Minet is “fusaka”, that is planned for November. The upgrade focuses on making Ethereum for Layer-2 rollups more efficiently, while the performance and accessibility of the base layer are improved.

Protocols are artworks

Vitalik also talks about protocols that are ‘artworks’ with minimal code, and emphasizes that blockchains should be elegant and simple, not messy patches that accumulate over time.

“Protocols are not a dirty it-out-out-er, your atmosphere code, where you accept permanently accumulating waste in the name of convenience in the short term. Protocols are a work of art. They must look like such.”

Ethereum has been criticized for the lack of scaling and slow development compared to rival block chains. However, proponents claim that it is better to be slow and thorough with 100% uptime than to hurry a faster blockchain that is plagued by reliability problems.
