Several videos went viral with a Mexican sailing ship from the navy that hits the Brooklyn Bridge in New York and injured 22 people on Saturday.
The videos showed the top of the three masts of the ship that hit the iconic bridge and partially collapsing while the boat hovered in the East River.
In one of the videos the masts could be seen and partially collapsing while they crashed against the deck of the bridge.

Visuals on social media also showed people who hung on the masts.
“We saw someone dangling, and I couldn’t say if it was just blurry or my eyes, and we could zoom in on our phone and there was someone who was dangling at least 15 minutes off the top, at least 15 minutes before they could save them,” a witness told the Associated Press.
The Mexican navy said that the Cuauhtemoc, about 297 feet long and 40 feet wide academy training vessel, was damaged in an accident with the Brooklyn Bridge that prevented it from continuing his journey.
In a post on X it said that 22 crew members were injured, three of whom have serious injuries.
“The secretary of the Navy renews his dedication to the safety of staff, transparency in its activities and excellent training for future officers of the Mexican Armada,” wrote it in Spanish.
Allegedly, the ship is on its way every year at the end of the lessons at the Naval Military School to finish the training of cadets. This year it left the Mexican port of Acapulco on 6 April with 277 people on board, and was planned to visit 22 ports in 15 countries, including Kingston, Jamaica; Havana, Cuba; Cozumel, Mexico; And New York.
It was also planning to go to Reykjavik, Iceland; Bordeaux, Saint Malo and Dunkirk, France; and Aberdeen, Scotland, among other things, for a total of 254 days, 170 of them at sea.
